Yvonne Churchill Hasney was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. She studied art throughout grammar and high school in New Orleans, Louisiana.
She attended Rahouin Commercial Art School in New Orleans, Louisiana; Jeff Davis Jr. College, Biloxi, Mississippi; and Flathead Jr. College, Libby, Montana.
Yvonne’s medium is in water color, oil and charcoal and her interests span landscapes, seascapes, still life, flowers, Native Americans, antebellum homes, historical architecture, portraits of homes, flowers, water color portraits and anything that captures her fancy. In other words, she loves to paint.

Yvonne lived for many years in Waveland, Mississippi where she displayed her work at her studio located on St. Joseph Street, about a block from the beach. Unfortunately, Yvonne lost her home in Hurricane Katrina and mourns the loss of her home and the community she knew for many years, but has now found a new beginning with her art in East Texas.
